Wouter is one of those rare DOPs who is super versatile. In both his work and his personality. Every choice he makes is driven by his curiosity and his pursuit of quality. 

From developing his father’s photos in the basement as a kid, to shooting on 16mm just to understand where film began, to training at one of London’s top film schools. Wouter doesn’t take shortcuts. But definitely knows what makes the cut. 

He brings ease to any set. Put him in a crew and he lights up, and so does the team. He knows how to compose his voice, but excels in putting others in the best light. 

He is focused, high-energy and, most of all, ready to keep going. Even if days turn into nights or nights into days - you never know with those shoots. We could go on and on about him and how he has proven his stamina by refurbishing a boat, for example. But all you really need to know is that with Wouter on set, everything will be smooth sailing.
